We love our gadgets here at Electric Dialogue so we wanted to share with you some pretty awesome gadgets we’ve come across during the last few months – and certain gadgets we believe no self-confessed geek should go without. So sit back, get your debit card ready, and have a look through our definitive list of geeky gadgets….
1. Noise Cancelling Headphones
The boys in our office just got some of these – and they are beyond amazing. They’re using the Beats By Dr. Dre – and we’ve heard glowing reports! Perfect for tuning out any outside noises and knuckling down to work! The Dr Dre ones come in a variety of sizes and colours, and have different specialities too – so you’ll probably be able to find at least one type that suits you!
2. Kindle Fire
This hasn’t actually been released in the UK yet (still waiting) but it’s avaialble in the USA and has had some amazing reviews. It’s the first attempt that Kindle have made at going in a more “tablet” direction – and the word is, it’s a complete success. It comes with a colour screen, touch screen and lots of fancy features. AND it’s cheaper than an iPad.
3. iPad
Classic. Classy. Just genius really. Need we say more? OK then. This gadget is perfect for anyone who likes to take technology with them on the go – you can watch movies, tv shows, browse the internet, download a multitude of apps…. etc. It just works!
This is my ultimate gadget at the moment – and something on my “wish” list. It’s small and nifty enough to carry around but still takes amazing photos… Definitely one of the best cameras around at the moment. We love photography in the office and this little nifty Compact System Camera is just the best of the best. Compact System means it’s basically the same as an SLR but smaller. Cool huh? Yes!
5. An external hdd
There are loads of great external hard drives out there, suitable to all sorts of devices and operating systems. Why is it absolutely a techie must-have? Well think of it this way – it back up your entire life and keeps all your work safe and sound. Whilst not the kind of gadget you can flash around – a good external hard drive is something you’ll regret NOT investing in.
6. Smart Phone Gloves
Any techie geek will testify to the annoyance on cold winter days, when you want warm hands – but you also want to use a smart phone. These gloves are the answer to all those problems… and whilst Smart phone gloves are not actually that technologically advance – they’re a pretty awesome invention.
7. EyeScope for iPhone
We’re big fans of the iPhone in our office, and we’re also huge fans of photography too. The perfect gadget that meets both of those loves? This gadget! It makes instagram so much more fancy – when you have a huge lens attached to your phone!
8. Nexus 7 by Google
We have lots of Apple fans in our office – but we also have lots of none-apple fans too. The Nexus 7 is the perfect tablet for anyone who wants the iPad experience but doesn’t like or want an apple product. It also comes in much cheaper than an iPad too (nearly half the price). It’s had great reviews too… so Google have really pulled it off with this one.
